The contract is for the design and build refurbishment of the buildings at the Maidstone campus, equating to approximately 11 000 square metres, along with external landscaping.
The result is expected to be new state-of-the-art facilities, opening by December 2013.
As part of the rebuild MidKent College has purchased the University for the Creative Arts' Maidstone campus, which is also based on the same site Oakwood Park in the town. Higher education students currently studying at Chatham Maritime are due to move across to the new site in late 2012.
