Fairfax said that the purchase of the six HD12VV tandem rollers and one HD13VV would help it to compete on larger civil engineering contracts.
It is the first time that the company has bought Hamm machines, which are made by the Wirtgen Group in Germany.
Fairfax business manager Mark Love said that all seven machines were out on hire within a week of their arrival.
Fairfax has also introduced four new Wacker Neuson RTCS2 remote controlled articulated trench rollers into its hire fleet. (Two of them are pictured below.) This takes its hire fleet to more than 500 units.
