Juan Bejar is to become CEO. He spearheaded the acquisition of BAA while at Ferrovial. He also led Citigroup Infrastructure in London. He is chairman and CEO of Cementos Portland Valderrivas and Executive Chairman of Globalvía.
These appointments arose following Baldomero Falcones Jaquotot's resignation as chairman and CEO. Falcones became chairman of the board in June 2008, six months after his appointment as CEO. He will now chair the FCC Foundation.
Esther Koplowitz Romero de Juseu will continue as first vice-chairman of the board of directors.
FCC Group operates in the UK via its two construction businesses, FCC Construccion and Austria-based subsidiary, Alpine BeMo Tunnelling. It is also present in the UK via its environmental services company, FCC Environment.
