Martin Round and Sean McKeon, formerly of Faithful+Gould’s Newcastle office, have set up Artis Consulting Ltd.
The two men say that they left the Atkins subsidiary on good terms to pursue their dream of running their own business.
“Sean and I have long had an ambition to set up our own business, so we are delighted that having decided to take the plunge by leaving senior positions in a large multi-national consultancy, Artis Consulting Ltd is now underway,” Mr Round said.
One of the first contracts is project management of the £40m first phase of Silverlink Holdings’ Stephenson Quarter in Newcastle comprising a 250 bed hotel with leisure facilities and conference space, a 350- space car park and 40,000 sq ft of commercial office space and associated public works.
