FJ Charleton Building Contracts Ltd from Ballymartin, County Down was crowned the UK’s Master Builder of the Year. It also won in the New Homes category for a new cliff-top glass and zinc retirement home, based at the foot of the highest peak in the Mountains of Mourne, for David and Freda Scott of Newcastle, Co. Down.
Sporn Construction Ltd from Stratton Audley, Oxfordshire was named the UK’s Best Commercial Builder
R&R Building Services from Brighton was named the UK’s most Energy Efficient Builder.
Corryard Developments Ltd from Crieff won the category of Best Large Renovations Builder.
Dunkeld Builders Ltd from Dunkeld, Perthshire took the title for Best Medium Renovations Builder.

The Best Small Renovation Project Builder went to Character Builders South West Ltd of Okehampton, Devon.
Valentine Ltd from Bournemouth, Dorset won Most Heavenly Builder, in recognition of customer service.
Patrick Williams, a carpenter and joiner from Dinas Powys, Cardiff, was named Apprentice of the Year. Patrick was the youngest apprentice ever taken on the Leadbitter Construction. In his three year apprenticeship he has completed NVQ levels two and three in Wood Occupations, achieved the Foundation and Intermediate Construction Awards with distinction and received his Advanced Construction Award.
Jeannette Hawrot of Leadbitter Construction said: “Patrick is an unsung hero who quietly and unassumingly gets on with whatever he is asked to do. He is committed, hardworking and high achieving. I was delighted to put Patrick forward for this award, as I felt he really deserved recognition for all he achieved while working with us.”
