Gang-Nail Systems helps Kevin Parsons Ltd increase its profitability

3 May 11 Specialist staircase manufacturer, Kevin Parsons Ltd, has recently started using Gang-Nail Systems’ StairCon software to help boost the production of its standard and bespoke stair flights.

Introduced to replace an existing outdated system, StairCon is enabling Kevin Parsons Ltd to design and manufacture a whole range of straight and winding staircases in a variety of materials. Used widely throughout the industry by joinery manufacturers, StairCon features a simple user interface which allows for easy detailing of timber staircases, producing material schedules, 3D visualisation and manufacturing drawings for manual production along with direct links to industry used CNC machinery.

Tom Parsons, Director of Kevin Parsons Ltd, commented: “The introduction of StairCon has provided us with a far superior level of 3D modelling visualisation, helping us to create a broader range of staircases, according to the needs of our customers. As such, the production of our bespoke staircases has significantly increased”

“Linked directly to our CNC machinery, StairCon provides a practical means by which components can be designed and manufactured. This is due to the automated way in which the two work together, helping to speed up the overall process whilst providing everything required for installation.”

“From a practical perspective, Gang-Nail has been particularly helpful in terms of providing the training required to get the most from the software. From the initial set-up, where Gang-Nail was present on site, through to access to daily help desk support should it be required, we have found that Gang-Nail offer an excellent level of customer support long after the initial software system was installed.”

StairCon and StairCon CAM is specifically developed for the design, manufacture, price estimation and real view 3D visualisation of timber staircases. It is fully compatible with Microsoft® Windows operating systems, an area that users are already familiar with, making the learning process far easier and quicker, providing a rapid return on investment.

Jason Ruddle, Sales & Business Development Director of Gang-Nail Systems, said: “Designed specifically for use by stair manufacturers, StairCon is helping companies, such as Kevin Parsons Ltd, to reach their full potential through the ability to design and manufacture all required components on site, regardless of the size, style or material in which they are produced. Through the provision of software training and ongoing customer support, we are able to fully support joinery companies looking to increase their stair production function.”
