GAP’s submission to the European Hire Association focused on its growth as a business during difficult trading conditions during the recession, and included information such as the launch of GAP Lifting Division in January, the creation of new jobs, achievement of ISO certifications and the ongoing capital expenditure to maintain a young and high quality fleet.
The family run business’s submission was heavily supported by various testimonials from some of its Major Account customers including Atkins, Morgan Sindall, Morrison Utilities and Ringway, and the main theme here was that even during difficult trading conditions, GAP is expanding and refusing to compromise on quality, working to raise standards in the Hire Sector as a whole, and not just for itself.

GAP has also been shortlisted for several other awards, including ‘Large Rental Company of the Year’ at the European Rental Awards, and a Health & Safety Award at the Construction News Awards 2011, which will take place in June and July respectively.
