The awards, which were jointly organised by International Rental News (IRN) magazine and the European Rental Association (ERA), took place at the Okura Hotel where GAP collected their prestigious award in front of an audience of 450 people.
GAP was honoured to have been shortlisted for the award last month, but winning it has really demon-strated the company‟s commitment to ensuring that its employees and customers are aware of the various hazards that their jobs entail and that they are operating in the safest way possible.
GAP also won the same award in 2008, with the introduction of its „Split Second Safety‟ campaign, where the company introduced innovative ways of delivering current health & safety information on a number of topics, through a range of eye-catching posters which are each accompanied by their own Tool Box Talk.
The judging panel at the awards ceremony commented, “GAP has a true and long-standing record in safety pro-motion, focused on products and people. It has a complete and consistent attitude towards safety, which extends to its interaction with its customers."
Malcolm Campbell, Health & Safety Manager at GAP, said, “This is a fantastic achievement for GAP; receiving this award twice in the last few years shows our continued contribution to safety within the Plant Hire Industry”.
GAP offers Health & Safety training to customers through its Tool Box Talks and the Plant & Tool Hirer is happy to support any Health & Safety initiatives that its customers organise through the attendance of their Health & Safety Manager or support materials.
