A £3.4 million project in Cheping Gardens, Eastleigh for First Wessex will see demolition and replacement of 31 existing bungalows. Residents will be decanted as new homes are completed. The finished development is expected to be handed over in January 2014. The project is designed to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3.
Five affordable houses and 17 affordable flats will be built at Manor Road, Swindon for Raglan Housing. This project, also designed to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, is valued at approximately £1.8m and will complete in October 2012. The brownfield site was subject to archaeological surveys seeking a lost Saxon village but no evidence of it could be found. Some frogs were found, however, and these were relocated before work begins.
