The investment is part of a £51m fleet upgrade programme.
Hewden has been buying Thwaites dumpers since the 1970s. This latest order is for three- and six-tonne dumper trucks of both straight and swivel type as well as nine-tonne straight machines.
Thwaites sales director Ian Brown said: “Hewden understands plant and understands hire, but most importantly Hewden understands the customer base – which in turn helps us plan our business and production.”
