The deck of the overpass was rotated 106° and attached to the adjoining sections in an operation that took just 90 minutes.
The 256m overpass spans 11 rail lines, including the Beijing-Guangzhou and Wuhan-Hefei railways. The decision to build the section alongside the railway lines and then move it into place was taken to avoid affecting services.
Completion of the installation brings the structure close to completion and it is expected to open to traffic this month.
