Area 4 covers Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire and has an estimated contract value of£140m to £165m.
Area 12 includes Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and part of Greater Manchester and has an estimated contract value of £85m to £95m.
Both contracts run for five years from March 2014.
Work involves integrated network management, maintaining and improving the trunk road and motorway network in each area.
