Hundreds of machines go under the hammer next week

12 Apr 12 One of the largest auctions of new and used construction equipment is being held at Donington Park in Leicestershire next Tuesday (17 April).

It is the UK’s biggest disposal of surplus construction machinery since the recession kicked in.

It is also the first Ritchie Brothers auction held in the UK for several years and the 25thanniversary of the world’s largest industrial auctioneer entry into the UK with its auction of kit shipped back from the Falklands.

The Donington auction features more than 630 items of plant, including more than 180 excavators, as well as 70 dumpers, 43 tandem rollers, 39 telescopic forklifts, 14 wheel loaders, loader backhoes, flatbed trucks, site dumpers, dump trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, telescopic forklifts, generator sets and many more items used in construction and agriculture.

The auction is unreserved, meaning that everything must sell on the day, to bidders either present or online, for whatever price is the top bid.

Anyone interested in bidding on items at the Donington Park auction must register first. Bids can be made in person at auction site, online in real time at www.rbauction.com or by proxy.
