The client is Hywel Dda Health Board, which awarded the contract through the Designed For Life: Building for Wales framework.
As a result of a consultation process including local renal specialists and patient representatives, Interserve will build a 21-station renal dialysis unit at the front of the hospital site, next to the existing main entrance and recently-built A&E facility. Works are expected to be complete by early 2014.
Interserve has also been contracted to lay down a new 250-space staff car park in advance of the new single storey renal dialysis unit, and to undertake alterations to the existing car park, while maintaining full operational services to all existing hospital facilities.
