Isabel joins NHBC’s board of directors on 1 June 2011, in preparation for taking over the role of Chair from Sir John Carter, when he completes his term of office in November.
Isabel brings three decades of experience in the insurance and finance sectors. She served as Executive Director of the Prudential’s UK business, Chair of Prudential International Assurance and was Chief Executive of specialist pension buyout firm, Synesis Life. She was also Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of the large European insurance company, Eureko, where she oversaw a period of major change and growth.
Commenting on her appointment, Isabel said: “NHBC plays a vital role in raising standards and providing protection to new homeowners in the UK. I am very much looking forward to joining the board and contributing to this important work, as it celebrates its 75th year.”
Sir John Carter, NHBC Chairman, added: “Isabel will be a significant asset to NHBC. As we strive to support builders and homeowners through a time of exceptional challenge and uncertainty, Isabel’s expertise, coupled with her experience of managing periods of change, will reinforce the already strong leadership of NHBC’s board.”
Isabel is also Non-Executive Director on the boards of MGM Advantage, QBE Insurance Group, The Pensions Regulator, and Phoenix Group Holdings.
