ISG appoints sustainability chief

25 Mar 14 ISG has appointed Dr Jacquelyn Fox as head of sustainability for its UK Construction business.

A former government adviser on sustainability legislation, Dr Fox joins ISG from the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

A chartered engineer, fellow of CIBSE and member of IMechE, Dr Fox is considered to be an expert in the field of sustainability within the built environment, ISG said. She has worked extensively in implementing the sustainability agenda both commercially and in an advisory capacity in the UK and the Middle East.

Before working for CIBSE, she was head of group sustainability at Barratt Developments. At CIBSE she launched the ‘Home of the Future’ advisory group and advised the government on sustainable development to drive carbon zero initiatives. She was awarded a PhD in sustainable architecture from University College London (UCL) in 2008 and became a fellow of CIBSE in 2012.

“My role at ISG will be to co-ordinate best practice from across the construction business,” she said, “building on the company’s achievements to date and creating a cohesive sustainability strategy that is both deliverable and will set an aspirational benchmark for the business. I have been extremely impressed with the work that has already been done here on answering and driving the sustainability agenda.”
