ISG has picked up contracts for a new hotel and retail outlet in St Andrews and an office refurbishment for Network Rail in Glasgow.

These wins come on the back of £11m of work secured in Edinburgh last month.

ISG is returning to St Andrews, following the conclusion of £17m of work at the Hamilton Grand and the Old Course Hotel. ISG has now begun construction on a £5m mixed-use scheme for developer Crucible St Andrews, delivering a Premier Inn Hotel and a new Marks & Spencer store. The first stage of the scheme involves the demolition of existing industrial buildings on Largo Road in the town centre to make way for the hotel and 16,000 sq ft retail outlet. Crushed material will be retained on site.

The project is scheduled to complete ahead of next summer’s British Open Golf Championship, which is being hosted by St Andrew’s.

For Network Rail, ISG has also just completed a £1.2m refurbishment of its St Vincent Street offices in Glasgow.

ISG regional managing director Andy McLinden said: “Crucible St Andrew’s and Network Rail are significant additions to our growing portfolio of high-quality customers. The burgeoning hospitality market sees our specialist sector expertise in strong demand and working with Network Rail in Glasgow further strengthens our relationship with this longstanding and important national customer.”
