ISG returns to Cardiff school

11 Jan 13 ISG has won a £3.1m project to construct a new design & technology teaching block at Llanishen High School in Cardiff.

The contract was awarded as part of the South East Wales Schools Capital Working Group (SEWSCAP) framework, which sees 10 local authorities collaborating over the next four years to deliver education projects across the region.

ISG refurbished the sports hall at Llanishen High School last year.

This latest scheme sees the construction of a new two-storey, steel frame design & technology building, incorporating facing brickwork and ribbon windows to its façade with an insulated metal cladding system forming the roof. The new building will be linked into the adjoining science block, which will remain occupied throughout the duration of the project.

The work is scheduled for completion ahead of the start of the new academic year in September 2013.
