Designed to educate and inform visitors regarding the Passive House and Multi-Comfort House concepts, the events take place from 16.00 to 17.00 on 1 March (North Gallery Room 9) and 2 March (North Gallery 6 & 7).
Professor Wolfgang Feist, founder of the Passive House concept and the Passivhaus Institut in Germany, will be participating in both sessions. He will be joined on 1 March by Roland Matzig, founder of r-m-p architects, who lives and works in an Isover Multi-Comfort House from where he has completed over 300 Passive House projects.
Gerry Mitchell, head of innovation, Saint-Gobain Isover UK, and Zdenka Debartoli, international market manager - building, Saint-Gobain Insulation, will also be attending the session, which aims to provide visitors with an insight into the benefits of the Passive House and Isover Multi-Comfort House concepts.
The second session will follow the Isover Multi-Comfort House live competition final, which takes place on stand N260 from 15.00 on 2 March. The winning teams will be attending to discuss how considerations such as building orientation, functional organisation, super insulation, solar shading and renewable energy sources played a key role in their success. In addition, lecturers in architecture Philip Oldfield and Guillermo Guzman Dumont from the University of Nottingham will be taking part, discussing the role of the Passive House and Multi-Comfort House principles in creating a more sustainable built environment.
