The Federal Building at 50 UNP, which was designed by prominent local architect Arthur Brown and completed in 1936, has not had a major renovation in its 75-year lifetime. This US$122M (£109m) renovation project is funded under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009. The project will convert 50 UNP into a high performance green building and is scheduled to be completed in 2013.
