JF Finnegan starts Billingham waste plant

6 Feb 13 Sheffield-based JF Finnegan has won a £4m contract to build a 90,000 sq ft recycling facility for Impetus Waste Management in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees.

Following substantial pre-construction involvement by JF Finnegan’s design team, work has now started on the North Tees site with a completion date of May 2013.

JF Finnegan managing director Gary Smith said; “Our early involvement in this project focused on determining our client’s exact requirements in order to create a bespoke facility that enabled efficient business operations.”

Impetus Waste Management director Nigel Flintoft added: “We are thrilled to be moving forward on the development of our new facility with the appointment of JF Finnegan. We have been able to work extremely effectively together to design the 90,000 sq ft facility which meets our requirements to be able to store and segregate large volumes of waste materials.”
