With a flywheel horsepower of 325 hp (242 kW), the HM300-3 is powered by a Komatsu SAA6D125E-6 engine and is EPA Tier 4 Interim and EU Stage 3B emission certified.

The HM300-3 has a maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 115,147 lb (52,230 kg).  It can haul up to a 28.1 tonnes payload at its maximum ground speed of 36.4 mph (58.6 kph).

Komatsu says that improved operating performance, lower fuel consumption, improved operator comfort and enhanced serviceability are additional features of the HM300-3 that provide improved productivity and lower operating costs.

The HM300-3 is equipped with KOMTRAX telematics technology that sends machine operating information to a secure website using wireless technology.  Data such as daily fuel consumption, machine utilization, operating hours, location, cautions and maintenance alerts are relayed to the web application for analysis.

Also new from Komatsu at the show are the D155AX-7 crawler dozer, which has an operating weight of 87,100 pounds, and new line of D65-17 crawler dozers. The latter come in standard (EX), low ground pressure (PX) and wide (WX) track model variations to offer customers flotation and weight distribution options that best match their applications.  Operating weight ranges from 44,355 lbs to 49,315 lbs depending on the version. The new models push with a net (ISO 9249 / SAE J1349) 205 HP at 1950 rpm.
