The new Archbishop Courtenay Church of England Primary School will mean that two existing school buildings will be able to relocate to a single site.
A nursery, football pitch and two multi-use games areas will also be built as part of the works.
The contract was procured through the Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE) Framework and is aiming to achieve a BREEAM “Very Good” rating.
Work started on site last month and is expected to complete in January 2012.
