The new single-storey residential care building will provide a short term respite facility and will accommodate six disabled youngsters, aged between 8 and 18 years and three members of staff.
The scheme is part of a Government initiative, “Aiming High for Disabled Children” which aspires to raise the standard of educational facilities available for children with disabilities.
Work has recently started on site and is anticipated to complete in June 2011.
