At Taylor Wimpey, Baroness Ford takes the seat of former print union leader Brenda Dean – or Baroness Brenda Dean of Thornton-le-Fylde as she now is – who is retiring in April after completing her third three-year team.

Taylor Wimpey chairman Kevin Beeston said: “Margaret brings with her a wealth of relevant experience from her time as chairman of English Partnerships and of the Olympic Park Legacy Company, not to mention her wider business and public sector experience. We very much look forward to her joining the board."
