Hall Construction Services prepared the way with groundworks last year. Now McAlpine is starting work on the first building at the new Science Central development in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The building has a green wall and a biodiverse green roof. Infrastructure works include new utilities, highways construction, the realignment and upgrading of an existing road to act as the principal site route and the creation of two new public spaces.
