McAslan poaches English Heritage planner

24 Jan 13 English Heritage’s long-serving planning director for London, Paddy Pugh, has joined architecture practice John McAslan + Partners as director of conservation and planning.

A chartered surveyor and chartered town planner, he had been with English Heritage for 26 years.

"I am really looking forward to joining JMP and to contributing to the practice's impressive range of conservation-led projects,” he said.

John McAslan added: "Paddy Pugh brings a wealth of experience to the practice. We have worked together successfully over the years, from the Peter Jones store in Sloane Square to the Roundhouse in Camden and the newly completed redevelopment of King's Cross Station. All of these projects have focused on the regeneration and renewal of significant historic buildings, and Paddy has been a hugely creative contributor to the quality of the finished product."
