The project involvesdemolition of some of the existing buildings, building a new extension and redeveloping and extending the existing grounds. Provision of an all weather sports pitch is also part of the work.
McLaughlin & Harvey was one of four shortlisted bidders and came in 1o% below the £13.1m price that the council had budgeted.
Completion is expected by September 2013.
