Bechtel will develop a master plan for the Sainshand Industrial Complex, which will incorporate infrastructure and industrial projects including a power plant, oil refinery, and mineral processing facilities. In addition, Bechtel will carry out economic analysis for each of the industrial and infrastructure projects and review debt financing options.
“The Sainshand Industrial Complex is key to Mongolia’s social and economic development,” said Ch Khashchuluun, head of Mongolia’s National Development & Innovation Committee. “Bechtel’s experience and expertise will help us achieve our vision of creating an industrial complex that will allow us to be more competitive in the global market.”
Bechtel’s role also covers the incorporation of sustainable development into the plan to contribute to social, economic and environmental improvements.
