The order, placed with Cumbria-based dealer Taylor & Braithwaite, comprises 14-tonne R145 CRD excavators, 20-tonne R210LC-9 excavators and three machines above 30 tonnes.
The machines are due for delivery in January and February 2014.
The company first began buying Hyundai excavators in 2012 and by the end of 2013 it had 48 of them
Buckhurst marketing manager Lee Gansler said: “We introduced Hyundai machines into our fleet because they are incredibly reliable and we get very good operator feedback and they enjoy driving the vehicles. We have had a number of Hyundai machines on some very high profile projects, such as the M8 road project in Scotland and also on the Manchester City ground, and they showed an impressive performance”
Some of the machines will be based out of Buckhurst Plant Hire’s new depot in Peterhead Aberdeenshire, which opened this month, the company’s fourth.
