Daly Plant Hire’s three new Volvo A30G articulated dump trucks joins an all-Volvo fleet that includes C,D, E, F and now G series models. The family business has operated A25 and A30 machines for more than 20 years. It is the largest hirer of Volvo ADTs in the southeast of England.

“To be honest we wouldn’t run anything else,” said managing director Eamon Daly. “Our Volvo trucks have proved their worth time and time again in terms of reliability, performance and most importantly – client acceptance. One of our oldest C models has clocked up an impressive 30,000 operating hours on the original powertrain components and that speaks volumes for the pedigree of the truck.”

The A30G meets the requirements of Stage IV final emissions legislation, being powered by an electronically-controlled, six-cylinder 264kW turbo-charged Volvo V-ACT diesel engine.

With a carrying capacity of 28 tonnes and heaped capacity of 17.5m³ the Volvo A30G has a maximum speed of 53kmh. The hauler is also fitted with Volvo’s CareTrack telematic system as standard for remote monitoring of machine functions such as location, fuel consumption and service intervals.
