The Royal Pier Waterfront regeneration is situated between the Eastern and Western Docks, next to the main operational areas of the Port of Southampton.

The 20-year scheme could potentially include a major mixed-use development with leisure and tourism, specialist retail, boat facilities and residential and office accommodation. It will also provide better public access to the waterfront, an extended park and an improved site for the Southampton International Boat Show.

The 60-acre site is jointly owned by Southampton City Council, The Crown Estate and Associated British Ports (ABP). This client team, advised by Drivers Jonas Deloitte, selected Morgan Sindall Investments Limited (MSIL) from a shortlist of three.

MSIL, the investment unit of Morgan Sindall Group, will now work with the client group to refine concept proposals in further detail, to go out to pubic consultation next year. An exclusivity agreement is expected to be signed inthe next few months.

The Royal Pier Waterfront development is a key part of Southampton City Council’s Renaissance Vision masterplan which is being drawn up for public consultation later this year.
