Morrison’s contract, from Scottish Water, is for the Meadowhead and Stevenston work package, in joint venture with Black & Veatch. Forming part of Scottish Water's strategic programme, the scheme collects storm overflows from Irvine town centre and transfers them to Meadowhead waste water treatment works.
Galliford Try has also been awarded a £9m contract by Network Rail to upgrade security at 29 powered signal boxes throughout the UK.
As previously reported, Galliford Try has also won a £20m contract for a regeneration scheme in East Belfast in joint venture with SIAC. Led by the East Belfast Partnership, the scheme will establish a linear park along the Connswater, Knock and Loop rivers. The programme is due for completion in summer 2013.
