Mr Coveney will be responsible for the Acrow operational and sales and for developing new markets.

“I am thrilled to be joining A-Plant and looking forward to what I know will be an exciting challenge,” he said. “I am eager to use my previous experience and expertise to help develop the strategy, innovation and enhancing the product offering under the Acrow name which is a well-established and well-respected brand with the UK hire industry.

A-Plant chief executive Sat Dhaiwal said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon on board and intend to use his vast experience to drive and develop the Acrow business. He is joining us from one of A-Plant Acrow’s largest competitors, PeriI, where he gained over 17 years’ experience in roles  including formwork design, sales management, and most recently regional director for south England and Wales, and this experience will be invaluable as we strive to develop new and existing markets for the Acrow business.”
