He takes over from Ken Irving, who has retired after 17 years
Mr Keillor joined the company 24 years ago on a student placement and moves up from construction director for West of Scotland and retail operations. He is a member of the CIOB and has studied business and management at both the Roffey Park Institute and Henley Business School.
He has his roots in construction: his father is the founder of Dundee based cost consultant Keillor Laurie Martin Partnership and his grandfather owned a joinery and coach building firm which is still run by the family today.
“The Scottish construction industry is in my veins and I always saw myself working in this industry,” Mr Keillor said. “I am delighted to be leading BAM Construction in Scotland at this challenging time. We have a great team and a clear strategy for developing the business and I’m relishing the opportunity.”
BAM Construct chief executive Graham Cash added: “There are few professionals who can claim to have such a construction pedigree and we are delighted to have such a talent leading our construction business in Scotland.”
