The new Construction Technique division will cover portable compressors and generators, road construction equipment and construction tools.
Drilling products, crushing, loading and hauling, and exploration equipment comprise a new Mining and Rock Excavation Technique division.
The two other divisions are Compressor Technique - stationary equipment for air and gas and related service - and Industrial Technique.
“With more focused business areas, each will have a strong platform from which they can develop the offering for their customers,” said group president and CEO Ronnie Leten. “The modified structure also allows us to better capture the sales and service synergies between our construction businesses and capitalise on the future growth of construction projects around the world, especially in emerging markets.”
Canadian Bob Fassl, previously head of the Drilling Solutions division in Texas, has been appointed president of the Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area.
A president for the Construction Technique business area is being sought.
