The new Terex CTT 321 is produced at the company’s Comedil facilities in Fontanafredda, Italy, and represents “a step forward in flat top tower crane innovation,” according to Angelo Cosmo, manager product marketing, tower cranes. “It offers advantages of simplified installation, transportation and maintenance in conjunction with excellent performance. The new operator cab and innovative options are tailored to match customers’ productivity expectations in the construction sector.”

Combining compact design of the upper part with a 300tm load moment, the Terex CTT 321 provides a maximum lifting capacity of 16t and a maximum jib length of 75m. The main jib is adjustable at 5m intervals from 30m to 75m.

Designed for easy installation and equipped with an optional anti-collision and zoning system, the new CTT 321 has a two-part counter jib to make it easier to transport. Transportable at a maximum length of 8.7m, the counter jib can be mounted from the ground comfortably using the pins provided for jib assembly.

The cabin platform is pre-assembled for quick set-up at the jobsite. The new EVO15 operator’s cab on the CTT 321 has improved visibility for the operators, Terex says, and includes a full colour, anti-reflection ICS display monitor.

The new model comes equipped with an anti-sway module,a slip-ring protection bar and rods, and jib safety rope to protect technicians from falls when working at height. A trolley device has also been introduced to prevent the pulley rope from jumping the reeving track.

Maintenance and spare parts management are monitored by an intelligent diagnostic system.  A new automatic slewing ring greasing system comes as a standard feature.

Providing the power required for specific lifting operations, two different winch models (45kW and 67kW) are available.

An aerial jib and counterweight dismantling device is available as an option to help reduce operating costs and enlarge the application opportunities for the crane, e.g. for cooling towers.

There are now 26 models in Terex’s CTT flat-top tower crane range, from 50tm to 720tm.
