New Holland adds scrubbers to new models

The new C-series crawler excavator and wheel loader models use New Holland’s selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system to meet Tier 4 interim emissions requirements.  Developed by FPT Industrial, this after-treatment system breaks down the NOx into nitrogen and water through a chemical reaction with AdBlue diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). The DEF tank needs to be refilled with AdBlue every fourth or fifth fuel tank refill.  

With the C Series, New Holland expands and upgrades its wheel loader offering. The three models of the C Series on show at Samoter – W170C, W190C and W230C – introduce features that result in bigger payloads, faster cycle times and a reduction in fuel consumption by up to 10%, the manufacturer says. With the W230C, New Holland also introduces a new model in the 20-ton class.

The C Series crawler excavators introduce a new high efficiency hydraulic system, which together with the new engines and SCR technology, deliver a 10% increase in productivity in terms of cubic meters per hour and up to 10% lower fuel consumption in ECO mode compared to the B Series.

The new Tractor Loader Backhoe (TLB) range uses a standard variable volume hydraulic pump. When not used, the pump goes in rest mode and thus saves 10% of the fuel.

Productivity is boosted by a 20% bigger front bucket that is also self-levelling thanks to the Tool Carrier. Grip is improved with wider 20” tyres. A Glide Ride device comes as standard to stop the front bucket from bouncing during travel and spilling the load.

New Holland’s skid-steer loaders have anew boom design. Electronic and hydraulic controls are now together on the joystick, giving the operators full control of the attachment at their fingertips.
