Northcot Brick extends its range of reclaim bricks

16 Mar 12 Northcot Brick has extended its range of reclaim bricks with three new products: the Cherwell Urban Antique, Mixture, and Reclamation Blend.

A cost effective alternative to expensive second hand reclaim bricks, the Cherwell range is made from the finest Jurassic Cotswold clay, which is burned in a traditional way in a coal fired kiln and then tumbled to create a worn , weathered and irregular appearance, with the textures and variations in colour that characterise old brickwork.

An ideal and economical solution for extensions and renovations, this unique range of wirecut facing bricks is designed to complement a wide range of older looking buildings, particularly those found in the North of England and the Midlands.

Unlike many reclaimed second hand bricks, they are manufactured to the latest European standards, including an F2 rating for Frost Resistance, thereby avoiding the high wastage element often associated with second hand bricks.

The complete Cherwell range is available in 65mm metric and 73mm imperial sizes, together with a range of standard specials.  Bespoke blends for colour matching are available on request.

“The Cherwell range has been extended in response to the increasing market demand for high performance and durable wirecut facing bricks, which offer the authentic character and mature look of traditional second hand reclaims for significantly less cost,” said Michael Brown, Managing Director of Northcot Brick Ltd.

Northcot bricks are hand checked to ensure consistency of quality throughout before dispatch.  They are available nationwide from a network of stockists and builders merchants.
