NTM expands with 19 new clients

25 Jan 12 Finnish refuse collection vehicle manufacturer Närpes Trä & Metall (NTM) enjoyed a record year of expansion in the UK during 2011.

The firm, which has operated for seven years in the UK, signed deals with a mixture of private businesses and local authorities.

Veolia, Cambridge County Council, Runnymede Borough Council were among the list who took delivery of brand new NTM vehicles.

Merthyr Tydfil Council took delivery of an 18t NTM truck – the first K-2K NTM body to be mounted on a Dennis narrow track chassis.

Initial Rentokil Medical Services purchased seven new NTM vehicles, through Hitachi Capital Finance.

In October, NTM also acquired LinkTip Kerbside Group from the West Midlands.

Paul Westley managing director of NTM-GB (and now LinkTip) said, “The NTM LinkTip takeover has been a strategic decision to cement NTM-GB’s position within the UK market place.

“Since the takeover of the LinkTip factory, NTM has seen a dramatic increase in order intake. In addition to this, The LinkTip Kerbside recycling Group, has now been rebranded as NTM LinkTip Ltd, and has also had a better than expected order intake since the takeover.”

NTM is planning its relocation to new premises in the Black Country town of Willenhall.
