Designed by APG for developer, Opal Property Group, the project was completed by Ocon in a nine-month build programme and was handed over on time and within budget. Located on the site of a disused builder’s yard, the 219 unit scheme is located within easy reach of Exeter University’s Streatham Campus and provides a mix of en-suite study bedrooms and studios with integral kitchenette and living space.
Constructed as four buildings, each terraced and four storeys high, the timber-framed scheme features varying facades of brickwork, painted render panels and smooth-faced coloured cladding. The development also includes a gas-fired district heating system.

Our experience and the dedication of our team allowed us to rise to these challenges: we were awarded ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ for the project by the Considerate Constructors Scheme, liaising with local residents and avoiding weekend deliveries whilst keeping the programme on track.”
