Octavius Infrastructure, formerly Osborne Infrastructure until its acquisition by Sullivan Street Partners in September 2021, now has separate managing directors for highways and railways.

Gavin Pritchard, previously commercial director, is now managing director of Octavius’ highways business unit.  Matt Smith, previously operations director, is now managing director of the rail business unit.

Both roles continue to report directly to chief executive John Dowsett, who said: “It has always been our plan to make this structural change to enable the development of a deeper market understanding and closer relationships with our key customers, allowing us to use our agility to respond quickly to the changing landscape. I’m delighted that, in Gavin and Matt, we have two outstanding internal candidates who are stepping into these important roles to drive our business forwards in line with Octavius culture, values and principles.

“Whilst our highways and rail business units are wholly complimentary, they do have different needs, challenges, and expectations. Each business has its own ambitious targets; each has different levels of market maturity, customer demands and depth of relationships. The new structure will provide a single point of accountability for driving each business unit forward; for the development and delivery of the plans that will make that happen and, ultimately, for delighting our customers.”

Sullivan Street Partners acquired Osborne Infrastructure from family owned Geoffrey Osborne Ltd in September 2021. In March 2022 it was rebranded as Octavius Infrastructure.
