For Ramirent, the outlet in Sochi opens new opportunities in the growing market in southern Russia. “Thanks to our new outlet, we are now able to benefit from the business opportunities created by the Winter Olympics at a much greater scale,” said senior vice president, Finland and Europe East, Kari Aulasmaa. “At the same time, we are strengthening our equipment rental offering in southern Russia.”
Until now, the Russian operations of Ramirent have focused on the St Petersburg and Moscow regions.
“Construction related to the Winter Olympics has made Sochi a third focus area in Russia for Ramirent. Demand for our machinery and equipment in Sochi is high, and our local partner has had excellent success in the area,” said country manager, Russia, Grigory Grif.
Ramirent has been operating in Sochi since 2009 through its local partner, LLC Rostechnostroy. The rental outlet opened in Sochi on 12 May 2011 is the company’s sixth outlet in Russia. In addition, Ramirent has three outlets in St Petersburg and two in Moscow, and ten agents operating across Russia.
