PlantWorx adds security village

21 Mar 12 The PlantWorx construction equipment exhibition, being held for the first time next year, has added a zone dedicated to site security products and services.

A marketing drive for the security village begins at a ‘countdown’ event being held at the show venue – Warwickshire’s Stoneleigh Park – on 24 May.

The countdown event will run alongside the Combined Industries Theft Solutions(CITS) conference.  The security village is being organised in conjunction with the CITS and Datatag, which delivers the CESAR security scheme. The PlantWorx exhibition itself is 14-16 May 2013, with The Construction Index as media partner.

Mike Revell, director of utility contractor Clancy Docwra, chairs the CITS group. He said:  “The idea of the security village at PlantWorx is to encapsulate all the very best security solutions and services in one area – a sort of ‘one stop shop’ for all your security requirements.  Appropriate security within the construction industry is vital and visitors to the village can be confident that all exhibitors are approved and accredited by the relevant trade bodies and or associations and promote best practise.  By having a dedicated security zone, it allows us as the organisers ensure that all the products and exhibitors present are appropriate and have the necessary credentials.”

Further details on PlantWorx, and on how to register for the countdown event in May are available at the show’s website, www.plantworx.co.uk.
