A further contract win for Portland is the new Birtley Young Peoples’ Club. The facility is set to accommodate pre-Olympic training during London 2012, as well as providing a potential base for boxing teams competing in the Glasgow Commonwealth games 2014. Portland is to provide structural design services to the project working with Whelan Construction, Lumsden Wood Partnership and Coachhouse8.
