Restructure at Nationwide Platforms

14 Mar 13 Access hire specialist has set up a network of eight customer service centres (CSCs) around the UK to rationalise operations.

A national CSC based at the headquarters in Leicestershire will be supported by seven regional CSCs.

Machines will still be despatched from the network of 26 depots as before, but the new CSCs enable Nationwide to pool certain activities such as hire desks, transport planning and customer management services.

Managing director Mike Potts said: “It’s our belief that our new regional customer service centres will help us deliver outstanding levels of performance right across the UK, in turn helping our clients overcome every challenge they might face. Further to that, pooling our huge expertise will help us become more effective at every level, therefore leading to improvements in the areas that we know matter to our customers the most.”

Nationwide Platforms is also planning a “Customer Charter”, which it says “promises the highest levels of service in the areas of greatest importance”.
