Rockwool achieves British Safety Council’s 5 star award

14 Apr 11 Award is internationally recognised and one of the most comprehensive, independent safety audit measurements Rockwool retains ISO 18000 certification

Rockwool, the world’s leading manufacturer of non-combustible stone wool insulation, has been awarded a five star safety rating by the British Safety Council (BSC).

The award has been given following the successful 95.5% pass rate of the BSC’s Five Star Audit, an internationally recognised compliance system, enabling companies to benchmark the effectiveness of their safety management against best practice processes.

The audit involved a comprehensive assessment of Rockwool’s manufacturing plants in Bridgend looking at possible safety risks and analysis of safety processes and regulations.

This prestigious award will be presented to Rockwool at an award ceremony on 30th June 2011 on board HQS Wellington on The Thames.

Rockwool has also retained its ISO 18000 certification that is awarded to companies which can demonstrate that their occupational health and safety management systems are operating well and protecting employees effectively.
