Showcasing the application and installation of a range of products and systems, the demonstrations are designed to provide visitors with a practical insight into the skills and solutions needed to meet the challenge of refurbishing existing buildings in the UK.
Saint-Gobain’s UK companies will be demonstrating a wide range of sustainable solutions to show how a fabric-first approach, using commercially available products and systems, offers the most cost effective way of improving the energy efficiency of existing buildings. Experts from these businesses will be on hand throughout, offering visitors in-depth practical and technical expertise to help them achieve the best results.
The demonstrations will feature a range of market leading products and systems from Saint-Gobain companies including a three part flooring system and two External Wall Insulation solutions from Weber, commercial and residential glazing solutions from Solaglas, as well as insulation and drywall systems from Isover and British Gypsum. The Renew Zone will also feature a static display showing each stage of a concrete repair system from Weber.

More than 4 million households are currently in fuel poverty and this figure is rising. In order to achieve the 2050 target of an 80 per cent reduction in CO,,emissions from 1990 levels, as set out in the Climate Change Act (2008), more than 13,000 homes a week will need to be refurbished. The renovation of our existing building stock is therefore one of the most important challenges facing our society today.
