Scott McGregor and Ken Pattullo of Begbies Traynor were appointed as provisional liquidators of CDW Ltd on 30 January. All 11 staff were made redundant.

The £7.5m turnover company, based in Hamilton, had been involved with numerous major projects, including the Burns Monument in Kilmarnock, Glasgow’s The Point, Glasgow, Westfield’s White City redevelopment in London and Newport railway station.

CDW’s product range included the Kalzip roofing system, Icopal and Flag roof membranes, Schuco curtain walling and Paroc wall panels.

“We are currently investigating the reasons for the demise of CDW Ltd, but it appears to have been another victim of the economic downturn which has hit the building and construction particularly hard,” explained provisional liquidator Ken Pattullo.
