The Welsh branches of the Federation of Master Builders, the National Federation of Builders and the Home Builders Federation, together with the Civil Engineering Contractors Association Wales, have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding to cooperate across a range of areas under the umbrella of the Wales Construction Federation Alliance (WCFA).
Each organisation will retain its own identity and there is no intention to create legal obligations between the parties.
Initial tasks include collating activities being undertaken by each federation and the establishing a series of position statements on various topics.
A formal launch of the WCFA is envisaged in the summer, including the signing of the MoU by the parties involved.
